With your donation, member children’s hospitals of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals like ours can provide essential medical care, life-saving treatments, and innovative research for children.
Your support helps kids like Everett, who has benefited from the care made possible through generous donations. Since birth, Everett had faced numerous medical challenges, including frequent epileptic seizures. Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital offered a new technology to locate the seizure. Everett’s parents agreed to a hemispherectomy, which successfully disconnected the left hemisphere of his brain. Although setbacks occurred, he did not experience any seizures post-surgery.
Over time, his progress surprised everyone—within five weeks, he was taking steps; eight weeks later, he was walking and eventually learning to run. Everett’s resilience has allowed him to regain his identity and make remarkable strides.
Thanks to donations, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital provided Everett with specialized care and therapy, allowing him to overcome challenges and embrace his passions.
