West Michigan Credit Union Helps Make Miracles!

2019 was a record breaking year for one of our Credit Union for Kids partners, West Michigan Credit Union! They raised more than $15,000 to support Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital (HDVCH).  To reach this record high, their employees and members engaged in a number of activities such as, jeans day’s, employee giving, skip a pay and event sponsorship’s.

“It’s easy to feel helpless and like you’re just one person, but one person can make a huge difference and it causes a ripple effect.  As a smaller credit union, when we partner with our members and team members, our impact is much greater than trying to help on our own.  We love giving to HDVCH because they’ve impacted so many of our own lives and we see how much is done for patients and families there”, Michelle Koziel, Communications Manager, West Michigan Credit Union.

Thank you West Michigan Credit Union members and employees for your incredible support! You are helping to provide hope and healing for the more than 190,000 patients treated at HDVCH every year.

Here’s a look back at their engagement over the past year…

Member participation in the December Skip A Pay promotion raised more than $7,700!

Employees volunteer to take pledges during the 20th Annual HDVCH Radiothon event.
Between January and July, employees were able to donate $2 and wear jeans on Friday’s raising more than $2,400!
Branches collected Wish List items that were distributed to kids receiving treatment.
